“奥斯卡金像奖”，正式名称：美国电影艺术与科学学院奖

“奥斯卡金像奖”是全球最具影响力的电影类奖项之一。

1927年美国电影艺术与科学学院成立，1929年5月16日，学院在好莱坞罗斯福酒店颁发了首届奥斯卡金像奖。

奥斯卡金像奖每年举办一次，基本固定在美国洛杉矶的好莱坞杜比剧院举行。自1969年以来，颁奖典礼在全球范围内直播或转播，可覆盖200多个国家或地区。

奥斯卡金像奖设有最佳影片、最佳导演、最佳男女主角、最佳男女配角、最佳原创剧本、最佳改编剧本等常规奖项，还有奥斯卡理事会奖等荣誉奖项。

奥斯卡金像奖采用会员制无记名投票，分两轮进行，第一轮是提名投票，由学院下属各个分支协会负责，选出最多五个候选对象组成提名名单；第二轮是获奖投票，“最佳影片奖”由全体会员通票选出，“最佳纪录片”和“最佳国际影片”由专门委员会选出，其他奖项由各协会会员根据专业选出。

奥斯卡金像奖的奖杯被称为“小金人”，高13.5英寸，重8.5磅。由米高梅公司艺术指导塞德里克·吉本森设计草图，美国青年雕塑家乔治·斯坦利制作模型，以墨西哥电影导演费尔南德斯为模特。奥斯卡金像奖不仅反映美国电影艺术的发展，也对世界电影艺术影响深远。
